Assistant Manager
Jonathan Moore
Jon Moore has been employed as an assistant manager at Walt's Wharf since
January of 2000. Jon started working in the restaurant business in 1993 as
a prep cook at the Bloomfield Hills Country Club in suburban Detroit,
Michigan. Since then, Jon has been a line cook, bus boy, server, bartender
and floor manager at restaurants in Michigan and
South Carolina before moving to
California in 1998.
Jon graduated from The University of South Carolina in 1995 with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management. During his college years, Jon was an NCAA Division I All-American swimmer at USC and still holds three varsity records at his alma mater. Jon also competed in three Olympic Trials (1988, 1992 & 1996) and was a multiple time US National Swimming Championships finalist.
A native of Okemos, Michigan, Jon is currently living in Lakewood with his wife Lucy and their children Iliana and Marcus.
