General Manager
John Ryan
John Ryan has been the general manager at
Walt's Wharf since 1989, and has been in the food service industry for the
past 23 years. He follows Walt Babcock's philosophy, "If you
want to look good, surround yourself with good people." With
this concept in mind, John has hired and trained a staff which has made
Walt's Wharf one of the most successful and well loved restaurants in
Southern California.
In his spare time, John and his wife Dana, along with sons Keith and Kyle, participate in triathlon, running and swimming competitions. John has completed the California Ironman in 2000 which consisted of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 mile run. In September 2004, the Ryan family competed in the Pacific Grove Sprint Triathlon. Keith was the overall winner and John placed 2nd. Dana and Kyle also won their age group divisions.
